Bruce James Bales - Director of Photography
A storyteller always in search of magic realism, Bruce James Bales possesses a keen eye for cinematic language and an intense passion for the craft of cinematography. He relies on narrative filmmaking techniques in commercials, documentaries, short films, and feature films to connect the audience with one another in search of the universal and highly specific. He loves his cats, ice hockey, and espresso (twice daily).

Sydney Pierick - Producer / Director / Art Director
Sydney Pierick got her start in the industry at a young age and ever since, she's been immersed in film and television realm. It is her commitment and passion to bring visions to life while still keeping things playful and explorative. Sydney is a stop motion enthusiast who loves a good DIY mentality and brings her free spirited nature to what she produces.
Marissa Vonn - Director / Producer
Marissa Vonn is an award winning director based in Los Angeles, but will always call Iowa home. Marissa's filmmaking strengths are highlighted in her ability to show what lies underneath the surface. She loves loud music, fast pools, and cross country road trips.
Nick Ford - Director / Grip & Electric
Nick Ford got his start in film by making skate videos with friends. With a unique outlook, Nick's the guy to bring to you fresh ideas and a plan on how bring those ideas to life. He likes things that go fast and collecting VHS tapes. Reach out to him if you have a copy of Paris, Texas.
Andrew Peterson - Director / Camera Department
Andrew Peterson blends a tech brain with a filmmaker’s eye. He directs commercials, micro-docs, and shorts as well as working in the camera department as 1st AC on features, documentaries, and branded work. Andrew's keen eye has made him known for crisp visuals, attention to detail, and a collaborative, upbeat set presence. Andrew is the teammate who solves problems and elevates the frame.
Derek Berta - Director / Producer
Derek Berta built his path in film from the bottom. Moving to Chicago shortly after high school, he quickly found himself working on increasingly larger sets. His career is rooted in the belief that there’s something to learn from everyone, and his journey has been shaped by the people and places that taught him patience, focus, and the value of collaboration. When he’s not on set, you can find him networking with people and businesses, playing a sport, or watching a hockey game.
Chase Stine - Sound Mixer / Director
Chase loves the craft of filmmaking and is stranded on the very small island of leftist UFC fans. Chase is a former skater kid, and above all else he tries to be a good person to everyone. He wants to bring joy to others through the amalgamation of artistic expression that is filmmaking.
